Eloy`s Mexican Restaurant in Albuquerque

This is a small family run Mexican restaurant that's been in business since the 1970s. The food is ALWAYS wonderful and the people are always do friendly. It may not look like a whole lot from the outside, but go on in and try some of the best food in town!

Food was excellent. I've been coming here for a long time and have never had a bad experience. Until today, a waitress that I've never seen before was extremely rude to my friend. The manager which I've known for a long time came over and resolved the issue and took care of my buddy.

Never been here before. Decided to try it and I'm glad I did. I chose carryout. The menu is different between carryout and dine in. I didn't see the dine in menu but I will post a picture of the menu for carryout. The restaurant is small with more of a living room feel. The staff is very friendly, I felt more like a neighbor than a customer, it was nice. I had the enchiladas with red and green. The chicken was kinda flavorless but the chili made up for that. The portions were good but to be on the safe side I also ordered a carne burrito, with red of course. I was absolutely stuffed after both of those. The sopapillas we're warm and delicious. Here is the kicker. Real honey!! Not that fake stuff. I will go back.

I'm not happy. Last night I ordered tamales & posole for Christmas Eve. When I went to pick up my order today, they couldn't find it. THEN, when they got it ready, I only saw a container of red chile. I ordered both for the posole. I asked about it. They told me the red chile was for the tamales. The red AND green were IN the posole. Who does that!? And when I asked for both for the posole on the phone the night before, wouldn't it have occurred to the person taking the order to ask if I wanted it on the side?? The lady who rang me up told me next time to ask for it on the side. Rude.Never again.

Great food and atmosphere

Not very appetizing. We were pretty disappointed. Who uses American cheese in a chili relleno? Gross!!! We were then served it burnt!!! And were told we should have spoken up like it was our fault. SMH I won't or don't recommend this place. We were constantly interrupted by servers to see if we needed any more tea. You don't have to interrupt conversations every few minutes. Read the table and fill the ones that need refilling.

A personal Mom and Pop restraunt that after 10- 20 years and multiple generations still has that family feel! The food is almost always consistent. The employees are friendly and as a regular we receive an extra greeting of how's the kids and how are they doing in school... what is going on at work or other related life greetings. We appreciate that they are willing to go the extra mile to make us feel welcome and serve good food!

Best Mexican food in town , been going there for over 20 years , great food and service & price .

The Rellenos are awesome here, filled with Velveeta cheese, nice people here too!

Everything was wonderful. But my favorite dish was the arroz con pollo. It was Heaven in a bowl ❤❤

Eloy's has a wide variety of different choices (some for spicy lovers and some for not-so-spicy lovers). You get a decent amount of food for a good price. The staff is very friendly and the service was great!

I am enjoying the Fajiras! Most winner's come with real or coffee. Just know soft drinks are 2,75 and refills 1.00. STICK WITH THE TEA OR COFFEE. Overall the food is excellent and is busy on this Friday evening.

I have been to many Mexican restaurants and after just one visit here I will say this one ranks along side a very select few at the top of that list. Family run and very friendly. Excellent food. The green sauce has great flavor and the perfect amount of heat to go with it. I will definitely be going back here!

They stop serving a guac salad and natallias with your food. Service is good but food for me is just okay. Not my favorite place in town but they serve alcohol and have a friendly staff.

Good deals on lunch specials. Waitstaff moved quick but didn't rush us out and were incredibly friendly. Green chile was really good! Definitely has an "at home" feel.

I ordered the chicken enchiladas with Christmas style Chile and it was extremely delicious. It had the right spice factor while being filling.

New Mexican food served with great portions at reasonable prices. Customer service was great. The place was filled with a lot of regulars. Almost every table was full and yet the food came out quickly. Definitely will return. Sadly I was too excited to take a picture of my food. Next time I will make sure to get a picture. I was pleased with my sour cream xmas (red & green chilie) enchiladas. I will go again. They keep their place clean. Loretta is always a pleasure to talk to.
